In honor of our reunion visit, the City of Rochefort greeted us with the American flag flying atop the Arsenal Arch which was the entrance to the former Army Base and school compound. The City of Rochefort has made a gift of the flag to the Rochefort AHS Alumni Assn. which will untilmately be a part of Rochefort's exhibit in the museum of the American Overseas Schools Historical Society in Wichita, Kanasa along with the bronze medal of Lafayette and banner of l'Hermione which were presented to the Association by the Mayor of Rochefort on September 28, 1998.

Gleaming white in contrast to the dull, drab gray of yesteryear, the former school building which housed Rochefort AHS is now the offices for Sogerma, an airbus parts manufacturing company. Having the opportunity to view the building from the outside as well as enter through the front doors brought back many fond memories.
